Syrian artist Assala Nasri is preparing to perform two concerts in Damascus on August 17 and 19, 2026, marking her return to Syrian stages after an absence of several years. The concerts coincide with her work on a 14-song album in the Syrian dialect.

The announcement of the two concerts comes after a concert that Assala was scheduled to perform in Damascus last March was postponed indefinitely due to regional developments and difficulties with air travel.
Assala had affirmed her eagerness to meet audiences in Syria and her determination to hold the concert at the earliest possible opportunity, before the new dates in August were announced.

Album in the Syrian dialect
Assala's return to the Syrian stage coincides with her work on a musical project in the Syrian dialect, which she revealed will include an album of 14 songs, each dedicated to one of Syria's governorates.
The project will incorporate clothing and folkloric elements expressing the distinctive character of each region, linking the songs to the governorates to which they are dedicated.
Family return preceded the two concerts
The announced dates were preceded by the return of members of Assala's family to the Syrian capital in June, after years of absence.
