Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka said his son, young actor Yassin El Sakka, is still receiving medical care at a private hospital after undergoing surgery following an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his knee.
Yassin’s successful surgery and Ahmed El Sakka’s follow-up
Yassin underwent surgery on Saturday 10 October 2026, with his family monitoring his condition. A source close to Ahmed El Sakka said the knee operation was successful and that his father remained by his side in hospital to monitor his health. Ahmed El Sakka had accompanied his son throughout his treatment and supported him before and after the surgery. Several family members were also present during his hospital stay.
The hospital’s official page announced that it had admitted Yassin Ahmed El Sakka and published photographs showing him with his father. It said his condition was being directly monitored by Dr Ahmed Abdel Aziz, professor of orthopaedic surgery and sports injuries at Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine. The hospital administration said in its post that Yassin was receiving the necessary medical follow-up and wished him continued health and a speedy recovery.
Monitoring his condition and setting a hospital discharge date
The post-operative monitoring is aimed at confirming that his condition is stable and determining when he can leave hospital, according to the assessment of the medical team treating him. Broadcaster Maha El Saghir, Yassin’s mother, shared two photographs of him in hospital on her Instagram Stories.
She appeared beside his bed in one of the photographs and asked her followers to pray for his recovery, saying: «We ask you to pray for his recovery». The second photograph showed a group of Yassin’s friends who had come to check on him and support him during his treatment.
He is expected to begin recovery and rehabilitation after leaving hospital, in accordance with the doctors’ instructions following his anterior cruciate ligament surgery. Yassin Ahmed El Sakka works in acting and appeared during the 2025 Ramadan drama season in the series «Sayed El Nas», alongside Amr Saad, Elham Shaheen, Ahmed Zaher and Reem Mostafa. The series was written and directed by Mohamed Sami.
