Guinness World Records honoured Arsenal player Max Dowman with three certificates at the age of 16, documenting records he set with the first team last season as the youngest player to appear in the Champions League, the youngest goalscorer and the youngest winner of the Premier League title.

- 4 November 2025
First European appearance
The organisation announced on Thursday that it had honoured the young winger at Arsenal’s training ground, as his achievements were included in its new 2027 football edition. Dowman was pictured holding his three certificates before turning 17. He set his first record on 4 November 2025, when he came on as a substitute in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Slavia Prague.
- 14 March 2026
Second record added
He was then 15 years and 308 days old, making him, according to Guinness, the youngest player to appear in the Champions League. Dowman added his second record on 14 March 2026, during the Premier League match against Everton.
Everton goal adds new record
He scored in stoppage time after carrying the ball from inside Arsenal’s half and covering about 60 metres before putting it into an empty net to seal a 2-0 win for his team. Dowman was 16 years and 73 days old when he scored, earning him the title of youngest goalscorer in Premier League history and making the goal the second milestone among the certificates he received at the club’s training ground.
The three records were completed after Arsenal won the Premier League title, with Dowman receiving a winners’ medal at the age of 16 years and 144 days, the age Guinness used to document the record.
With this achievement, Dowman became the youngest player to win the title, surpassing the previous record held by Manchester City player Phil Foden by more than a year. The certificates document the start of his first-team career through a European appearance before the age of 16, a Premier League goal and then a title-winning medal.
