During its D23 fan convention in California, Disney unveiled the cast of “X-Men,” scheduled for release in May 2028, along with details and footage from highly anticipated projects, notably “Frozen 3,” “Vision Quest,” “Incredibles 3” and “Coco 2”.
The cast of “X-Men”
Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, announced the names of the “X-Men” stars during the event, held every two years to showcase Disney’s upcoming film and television projects. The film’s stars took the stage in Anaheim on Friday, including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops and Christopher Abbott as Professor X.
The film’s cast also includes India Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Essex, also known as Mister Sinister.
Anna’s wedding and a new villain in “Frozen 3”
As for “Frozen 3,” Disney announced that the film is set as Anna prepares to get married and is due to hit theaters in November next year. The first footage revealed a new female villain, without disclosing her identity or the name of the actress who will voice her.
During the presentation, Kristen Bell, who voices Anna, and Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa, performed a new version of the song “Frozen Heart.” Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, also performed a new song titled “Oooh, Samantha.”

The conference announcements also included the first footage from “Star Wars: Starfighter,” starring Ryan Gosling, who is also linked, according to the source material, to Disney’s upcoming Marvel project “Ghost Rider.”
Disney also showed footage from the limited series “Vision Quest” and announced that it will be released on Disney+ on October 14. Created by Terry Matalas, the series is based on the Vision character from Marvel Comics and is a spinoff of “WandaVision.”
Paul Bettany will reprise his role in the series, alongside James Spader as Ultron.
Release dates for “Incredibles 3” and “Coco 2”
In Pixar announcements, the company’s chief creative officer, Pete Docter, said that “Incredibles 3” will be released in summer 2028 and will bring the superhero family together again to face a powerful new villain.
Docter also revealed details of “Coco 2,” which is set several years after the original film, released in 2017, with its protagonist Miguel now a teenager. The sequel is scheduled for release in November 2029.
Ernesto de la Cruz seeks revenge and takes Miguel back to the Land of the Dead.
Benjamin Bratt, who voices the villain Ernesto de la Cruz, appeared on the event’s stage to discuss the film, while Docter added that work continues on developing an animated series inspired by the “Kingdom Hearts” video game franchise.
The fourth installment of the game, produced by Disney and Square Enix, is also set to feature a world inspired by “Coco,” while footage showed the main character, Sora, exploring that world.
